Simple Chia Cereal

You gotta love the simplicity of this morning cereal. It’s packed full of fiber, Omegas and protein. It tastes so good that it’s become my go to breakfast food.  I sometimes make this the night before if I know I’m going to have a busy morning and that way I won’t forget to eat breakfast.  It also travels really well as the chia absorbs the liquid and it becomes more like a pudding so throw it in a glass container and bring it to work.  Add in sweeter ingredients and have it as a dessert.  For the hemp milk recipe click HERE

Simple Chia Cereal
  1. 2 TBS chia seeds
  2. 1 cup hemp milk
Optional Toppings (pick one or two or go crazy and add them all)
  1. 1 tsp cinnamon
  2. 1 apple or pear chopped
  3. 1/4 cup coconut flakes
  4. 2 TBS goji berries
  5. 1/2 cup fresh berries
  6. 1 banana chopped
  7. 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
  8. 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  1. Place chia in a bowl
  2. Pour hemp milk over top and whisk until chia starts to absorb liquid
  3. Let sit for 10-15 minutes (in fridge or on counter)
  4. Stir again and add in toppings
  5. Enjoy
