Brazil Hemp Milk

This recipe is decadent. It tastes like it should be bad for you! Brazil nuts are a great source of selenium which is essential for our immune system, the health of our thyroid and reduction of inflammation. It’s also an essential component for the production of Glutathione which is our bodies master detoxifierand essential for the support of our liver and a general sense of well-being. Check out this study done in New Zealand that suggests that taking 1-2 Brazil nuts a day is just as good, if not better, than supplementation. As we know whole food healing is the way to go!

This recipe is the deluxe version of the hemp milk that I make regularly and that some of you have probably enjoyed in our classes. It’s extra creamy and perfect to accompany a fresh from the oven cookie or, for some of you, a raw macaroon from the fridge. I’ve posted a video below to inspire you to rev up your blender and try this dairy alternative. You may notice Autumn in the bottom corner of the film – anytime the blender comes out she thinks she’s getting a green smoothie!

Brazil Hemp Milk
Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup Brazil Nuts
  2. 1/4 cup Hemp Seeds
  3. 1 TBS Coconut butter (optional)
  4. 3 dates
  5. 1 tsp vanilla
  6. Pinch salt
  7. 4 cups water
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in blender and puree until smooth.
  2. Pour milk through sieve, cheese cloth, nut milk bag or I use a reusable produce bag.
  3. Will keep in fridge for 4 days.
